It was a beautiful day. 50+ and water was 53, and rose to 60 by afternoon. There was wind and ripple when I arrived. Then smoothed. When I came in at dusk, the water was glass. Bait all along the main lake channel, like 1000s....

So that one crappie slapped my jerk bait, you know, kinda punching it, and I thought that was cool. Brian L.had talked about that in a video or two. I got to see it, and I even landed it... so my finesse was working today.. LOL

Lane R. So for me, it wasn't even close to that exciting... I took a bad roll on a kayak, and the next thing I know I have two hooks in my arm... I was like OMG!!! And I didn't even do anything. I'm out on this ginormous lake, and I have trebles in the tricep!!! And then, because the rods were in some crazy holder, I couldn't move. It was like an act of congress just to get turned around to cut the line.LOL I NOW never pre-rig one of those. I call them the Devil's Mistress!!! And she does NOT get a pass EVER!!

The crazy thing is, it didn't hurt as bad as I thought it would. Go Leatherman!! LOL

On the live you did, the segment around 12:20 you said something that confused me, on point 5... Food on the main lake vs food in the back of the creeks. I think you maybe misspoke, just being in the moment, at 12:20, but I wanted to clarify.

So about a week ago I asked you about my lake breakdown, and you gave me some direction. So I went down the rabbit hole, and in one instance in my breakdown, I ask some AI agents this: "how far do bass travel from their spawn site?". The answer was very interesting, and if you place it in context, you are spot-on. As someone new to fishing, I don't have a buy-in to the notion of a "transition", so I love this topic. Here was the AI answer:

Largemouth Bass are generally "homebodies" with limited travel ranges. Studies show that the majority of tournament-released largemouth bass travel less than 2 miles from their release site, with many staying within a few hundred yards. They rarely return to their original spawning or hatching areas if transported to distant weigh-in sites.

So what's interesting is that someone has studied these tournament bass, and found they don't move... which is kinda why I asked how this transition came to be, and if sonar has helped to provide some alternative answer.

Don't know about the rest, but I'm having fun!!

I have a 75acre lake here, that is FULL of that stuff. He had a couple, I recall, flipping heavy grass in FL maybe?!? I actually bought the NGX rod in that video JUST for that. It worked. I call that setup my "weed-eater". I have 50lb Kastking braid on it, in that lime green color. It looks more like mooring rope than fishing line, but its fun, and that video helped me kinda figure some things out there.

What timing!?! In the last couple of weeks I have been watching all these influencer videos on "a beginners lures guide to bass fishing" or "best 6 lures at Walmart for beginners". I was just carrying too much stuff (like you mentioned in a tackle video) and I wanted to go minimal. But I also wanted to see how successful I would, and compare each video's content. So I decided to build some "rig bags" for each of the videos (almost to the exacts as each video suggested, and with what I already had on the wall) Today will be my first test.. 6 best beginner lures/rigs at Walmart.

So, understanding when you might choose one over the other would be a great lesson. You have some of that in your videos, but it's sorta  spread out.
