SUF Fam-I shared my last defeat, and it’s time to share an epic win in a local teams derb. Graham Mebane lake is a city lake and it only allows 20 boats on it on any given day. I caught a total of 7 fish today (4 being over 5lbs). Out on the water weight was 30lbs even and at weigh in I edged out a victory with a 29.67lb bag!!!!
This was the most epic day I have ever had. Thank you for all the support when I shared my last defeat. It felt great to win against 20 local teams filled with absolute hammersI caught 24lbs in about 200 yards of shoreline before 11AM. My go pro failed me and didn’t record all my catches or my PB, but the catch posted here happened at 3PM which culled 3lber that sealed the deal.

I promise not to post anymore creek fishing - bedfish for now (unless it's a new pb). 8lber on today's adventure. Prayed for favor with the fishies and it was answered.
Not a huge fish but definitely the biggest male I've ever seen & caught on a bed. Weighed in at 3lbs 9oz. Thought maybe I was mistaken and caught the female first (which rarely happens for me) but 5 minutes later I caught the female. She weighed in at 5lbs 2oz. Both fish took a 9" Zoom Mag 2 (another 1st for me to catch bedders with a worm).
I had a team tournament yesterday, my dad and I were able to land 15.49lbs. We placed 8th place out of 165 boats at Lake Tawakoni. We caught 7 fish total, our 5 keepers all came on a different lure. Rage craw, Rage bug, chatterbait, spinnerbait and a flashy swimmer swimbait. I spent a total of 6 days of practice, 5 the week before and the official practice day (friday). I found a flat that was loaded with bait fish and bass and my other areas were just spots where I’ve caught a fish in practice. I just needed the water to stay high on this shallow flat (which it did). Looking back at it I should’ve spent more time trying to catch fish in that flat but we only got bit after 1pm in practice. This is our 2nd year fishing tournaments as boaters and we were able to have our first limit in a tournament as boaters. Was a great weekend and we’re ready for the next at Cedar Creek!! Our bubba scale is a little off so we were happy to see what the tournament scale said! We also had hail, 20mph wind and thunderstorms!!
Todays morning bite was tough once water warmed up they got a little more active caught probably 10 or so but they were mostly under 17 inches ..
