Bass do not read the books on fishing. Our weather has been rainy all week and a twenty degree drop in air temperatures. Today, I saw Barde post catching bass so that encouraged me to brave the 20mph winds. The local reservoir was muddy and choppy. My expectations were low.

Boy was I wrong. I caught fish on all my presentations. Spinnerbait, crankbait, Texas rigged craw, swim bait, fluke and I even got my first fish on a hollow belly frog. (Bobby inspired). Now I would not have won a tournament but I sure had a lot of fun getting bites. 😀

Thank you BLat!

I never thought I'd need the videos about boat electronics being a predominantly bank angler, however I watched some of them anyways. Glad I did! I've recently been invited to be a co-angler/teammate for next year's tourneys. Went on the boat yesterday evening and thought I was going to be intimidated by the electronics. Wasn't the case at all (except the live scope). Being on the back, I watched down and side scan for structure and was thankful I knew for the most part what I was looking at and for. While he scanned for fish, I was casting to structure, etc.

Going to be a heck of a transition for me fishing deeper water (going to be buying a lot of heavier terminal tackle lol). If I ever thought having a boat with electronics/live scope would make it easier, that notion is gone!

Thought I’d throw it out there. Last night in the round table I mentioned this. Some people asked what we use. This is a great travel rod on a budget. Destiny Siguenza and myself have been using this for several years. Caught smallies in Colorado to big buckets in Texas. Not much to it, but it gets the job done. This paired A 2500 spinning reel along side a small box of tackle with finesse swimbaits, jerkbaits, wacky rig stuff maybe some poppers, walking baits and of course some Ned rig and shakey head stuff; you can really get a lot done when you’re traveling or even keeping it in your car. If you’re on a business trip or something and have some ponds by your hotel etc it’s great way to explore some new water. Tight lines fam 🎣

Huge thank you to everyone that made the roundtable last night. I certainly learned so much about apps and tools people use to prepare for their day. I'm sure others did too!

Next week Thursday we're going to be talking about building a following for social media and making content.

We hope to see you there!!

Last week in our roundtable, Brian latimer talked about Hydraulic levels when fishing a dam. Others proceeded to provide sites where we can find that information. This got me thinking- what other tools and resources can help us to prepare for our day out on the water! That's what tonight's Roundtable's topic will be. What tools, resources, apps have you used to help you?

See you all tonight at 8PM EST. Can't wait!!
