Need a fish ID. Was fishing a new creek today. Was expecting largemouth, but started catching spots. Those were easy to identify due to the extra rows of lines below the lateral. Also caught some smallmouth-hybrids it seems. Biggest fish appears to be a largemouth but the mouth doesn't extend past the eye. So is it a spot?
So what do you think we are looking at? It was close to a point, a flat, and a saddle. I definitely think the shad spawning too (second picture). So I thought maybe catfish, but with the last video "Catching Spawning Bass" I think it could be bass spawning deeper since it is on Lake Juliette which has clear water.
Finally starting to kick off here in the PNW caught 10 the other day with water temps hovering around 54. Biggest was 4 the others were in the 3 pound range, caught most off the Evo chatterbait with the freeloader as a trailer. Black and blue are a staple for me and white and chartreuse, slowly reeling with occasional stops and finding the patchy grass before the spawning flats havenβt quite moved all the way in yet. Super fun day once I found the pattern and it clicked
Ugly flathead cat caught on a crankbait while bass fishing.
Made a change to a lighter weight and immediately started getting bites flipping lay downs.
AI Analysis - Continuing on Tim's idea, he and I got together and were able to pull some sample sets of Data for Barde's specific need and some other events. Just to give you an idea what is possible from a couple of out of work IT Executive guys with developer resources.Β π€‘
Got out again today to a different lake. Not new to the lake but first time using live scope there. Based on looking for them in winter mode, with the water only 53 degrees, I was on them shortly after hitting the water. Some all the way on the bottom, some suspended. Both groups would give chase, but no bites. Tried a few different things with no luck. Im feeling confident in reading the lake and using my sonar. Now I need to crack the nut on tackle and/or technique. Any tips from anyone about how to try new things or change set up systematically until you find what works?
