Kayak friends- Wanted to share this little trick a friend of mine taught me and it has helped me not lose fish when they flop! I place my net under the board and tilt the board slightly in. If it flops it will likely go into the net! The only I recommend doing is pulling the board back further so more net is exposed. Fall fishing has come to Texas and everything is keyed in on shad. One minute I'm snatching smallies off the boat ramp rip rap with crankbaits and the next I'm cutting anchor and taken for about a 15-20 minute ride in my kayak. Poor crankbait took a beating with the split rings stretched out. (2nd image shows the crankbait)

I am running another tournament benefiting my non-profit raising money for The Jimmy Fund. My Dad passed away from cancer and he wanted to make sure kids had every chance possible to not deal with cancer so I am going to carry on with raising a little bit here and there in his memory. I fished a two day two lake team tournament, one lake each day. Each team or individual was allowed 5 bass each day. We did not place and we got lunker for the first day. Look at those mega bags brought to the scale each day!!!!!!

First - I got the 4 digit code for the fall classic, do we need to make a purchase on your site as well, Brian? Have it open now, so I’m happy too!
Also, ordered my first Level rods💪🏽 7’3” heavy for froggin and lighter action flipping! If it goes well, I’ll commit to the bit and switch everything over.
Now I need recs for reels. I’ve been a Lews guy since I started tournament fishing. I’ve gotten a couple new ones and had issues with drag slipping etc. lemme know your thoughts, guys!

Brian... that short you made about cpinnerbait being better than a chatterbait... That's my friend Marshall Stamps (Georgia Bassmaster), on the FNGO (Fish North Georgia) podcast.. We fish the Flint and Ocmulgee rivers together sometimes.. Super nice guy, awesome river angler, on a great podcast..!
