I was disciplined yesterday and instead of just looking for the usual docks or visible laydowns to cast at—
I broke the lake down correctly! 😍🙏🏽🤩
- Looked at paper maps to find productive looking spots
- Took the time to idle around and use my graphs (finally) and mark waypoints
- Found submerged veg, timber/ other cover
- Found fish!
- Used different techniques than I usually do
- Caught on the first cast!!!
Way more productive day because of being prepared and patient!

Anyone living with in 100-150 mile of Douglasville, Ga who would like to have someone fish with them over the next month or so please let me know. I have just lost the motor due to trim shorting out causing the cylinder to run until shorting out and catching fire. It basically burned the entire top end of the motor away; anything not metal is gone. Couldn’t of happened at worse time…..

I’m interested in fishing the Phoenix BFLs as a co angler in the South Carolina division next season. I called MLF and got some info and they recommended I join the BFL Facebook group to link with a boater, which I did.
I’ve posted a couple of times about linking w/ a boater but haven’t got one response in several weeks.
Is there anything else I should try/do? Does anyone know a boater that needs a co link?
I do own a 22’ Skeeter zxr20 and could also link with a co, but wanted to be a co to try and LEARN as much as I can from others!

I had a case of Mondays at work, so I went fishing in the late afternoon. I had two hours before dark. In the first 45 minutes, I caught five 2+ or 3+ pounders for an over-10-lb bag. I caught five more after that. It was a great afternoon/evening on jigs!
