My apologies earlier I didn’t pay attention and posted a pic of 2 lber I caught day before yesterday…. lol I’m surprised nobody commented . It should have been the one one the left (I had livewell issue unfortunately and this beautiful girl didn’t make it ) so we made the best of it enjoying fish taco’s that night. The one on right I caught on Logan Martin north of goat island on an offshore roadbed that crosses the main channel from the island all way across main channel to a point about 1000 yards away. Their is 2 sections of this roadbed you can find a couple storm drain pipe culverts and ditch line that gain 5-7’ depth compared to majority of the roadbed providing added bottom features / cover and an ambush area for feeding. I was fishing a jerkbait & swim jig fish were suspended from 4-5’ off bottom to as high as 12-14 water depth average about 27-28’. With best five on these two sections of roadbed yielding bag approximately 22.5-23lbs decent fall day on the Coosa.
Well if the fishing sucks, there is always the constant air show you get in Madison. Benefits of living next to an air force base.
The weekend is going well, I caught a limit today and a rainbow trout on a neko rig. Here are a couple of highlights. I love being on the lake. :-)
Did a little better today almost caught a limit but most where shorts, flippin docs and throwing a jerk bait in the creeks. I definitely could hear sound bites from SUF schools in depths playing out in my head while on the water.
I just wanted everyone to know im thankful for you being in this group. This is really cool. When this began I didn’t even realize I’d get as much from it as I put in it. I mention some of y’all’s name in conversation on a daily basis. Just wanted y’all to know that. Have a good rest of your weekend. Look for the Sunday Q&A tomorrow morning!
