Crank, Pause, Crank…they just cant help themselves on that pause.
Got out to the lake today but the fishing was tough. Worked on fishing a weightless fluke and caught this one.
This photo is for Ken Pfiffer. We talked about places to catch bass on the st Lawrence river. This is a aerial shot of a place I throw a Crankbait. On this particular day I had 20lbs using a rock crawler fishing the edges of flats like this.
I’ll keep saying it until it’s not true…this shirt catches big fish!

Summer time shallow water cranking on the Potomac River. Â
Took a bit of a break for a month or so.. to darn hot! That was long enough! Had to get back in the yak today, landed a 19.75" / 2.20lbs which is real nice in my area. Good grief, it is so hard to find those 20+ inchers! 😜
Since we’ve been talking about bank fishing….. it’s only fitting to go fish the bank today. I honestly like this better some days. I can keep a eye on him better. We notice so may things that we never would have if we were in the boat.
How do you know when your dog wants you to take him fishing?
I worked with Barb Elliott NY Conservation Director for BASS on a website to continue to get the word out about fizzing bass caught in deep water and suffering from barotrauma in your live well. Learn more about how to fizz your bass and get one of her kits. Check the site https://www.barbsbestfizzkit.com - Share this site in as many places as possible to help save the fish.
