4) Answer the fill in questions:
- What state(s) do you commonly fish in?
- What are you most interested in learning about?
- What fishing platforms do you use? (boat, bank, kayak)
Thanks guys!
Just picked up a pair of these beautiful rods can’t wait for the season to begin here.
Living in Virginia I’ve learned to be patient and wait for the season to truly come in. We’ve had some really warm Jan days where I thought it okay to go out on my neighborhood lake “CHESDIN.” I was wrong. The temps where in the teens that week, I had never gone out until around end of March early April. We don’t get a nibble. It was to cold to troll around in the deep to find them so we gave up and called the day. I hate you guys in Florida with you kayaks.
Man I had a day yesterday. I just have to post about it. I went out to a private lake behind my house, and yanked 23 of them out. Topped by an 8.10 monster. I got them all on a bronze pumpkin and green Chatterbait with an okeechobee craw bandito big trailer.
However, the big one, I saw him hit top water under a dock. I pulled out my punch rod and threw a big black and blue craw at him, he hit the second bite and it was the fight of my life! I’ve caught bigger but he was definitely the biggest fighter.
It was one after another all day long. Only a month and a half after getting my boat, it was awesome.
Sadly my boats going to Tennessee for a few weeks to get some work on it - so that was its last trip for a while - I feel like I’m missing the best fishing time in Florida - but why a way to send her off!
Spent the weekend fishing with Tom Spoljaric . He escaped two feet of snow in the frozen tundra aka Ohio and brought his boat down behind his rv to fish barefoot. We toured Okeechobee and The Harris chain. We fished out of his Triton the first day and my Falcon the second. Content was recorded, fish were caught, power poles were adjusted and memories were made. The guy is an excellent angler and all around good dude.
Lawd Jesus help us in our time of need and keep my money in my pocket!!!! Never been mind blown and perplexed at the same time.
