Good morning SUF community. I have a tournament on the 16th and I have 8 hours tomorrow to start pre fishing. Natural lake here in Florida, 5mph NE winds, and a few water inflow points outlined in the picture below. So this would be one of the things I struggle with. What would be a good way to insure I have an effective practice tomorrow? Looking for spots, patterns, eleminating water etc. does anyone have a system for practicing for tournaments that could be helpful? Thanks in advance!!
Something bouta spinnerbait, especially with the brown ones. Grown one. ππͺπ½#friYAY#
This fall bite is so good! My skills seem to be improving as well! Great day to fish!
Drop 3 basic skill workshops we should do in the SUF app
Examples would be
- how to spool a reel
- how to tie knots
- how to choose colors
- how to tune a spinnerbait
- how to read a lake map
- whatβs the right fishing line
- how to launch a boat
- how to cast a Baitcaster
- how to tie a Dropshot
Live starts at 12pm et today. On Friday we are doing the basics!!
Apologies for disconnecting from the round table last night, my phone died. It was nice meeting everyone and thanks for the tips and advice.
Been a little dry spell of just catching little guys but this evening I got to go fish for a couple hours and was fortunate enough to get a few big enough that I felt they were worth boarding and submitting to the tournament.
I threw a crankbait, a buzz bait, and spinner bait, etc and couldn't buy a bite until right at dusk I started throwing a Megabass X80 Jr jerkbait and that's what I caught every fish on that I caught today.
I tried jerking the bait pretty hard, light twitches, very small feather like twitches but similar to what Fred James said in the live a couple days ago - in the end they just wanted a straight retrieve pretty much.
I would cast it out and let it sit until ripples dissipated. If I didn't have a fish by then, then I would twitch it a couple times and then just steadily retrieve it back to the boat. I caught multiple ones before I even started the retrieve - they would hit it while it was just sitting there while waiting on the ripples to dissipate.
