Crankbait with active target through baitballs in 15 foot of water is a blast! No giants but 7 in the boat in 45 minutes kept me giggling. Was a great time while water testing after changing fluids to prep for my month long tour.
Question for the community
Is this a largemouth or Shoal bass?
I caught this guy wade fishing the Ochlockonee river.
There be days like this… all those disturbances on the water are shad balls in Dry Creek on Tim’s Ford…. I could see shed everywhere on the side imaging, but could not beg a bite. There was nothing hitting the surface and no organized schools of larger fish.
Highly recommend signing up for the group chats/coaching calls. Had mine this morning and went out fishing for a couple hours after work. Fished the outside weed line and caught 1 LMB, 1 SM, 1 Walleye
Getting ready for the group coaching call this morning! If you’re going to guntersville next week you certainly should be in this meeting!!!
I discovered something we all can use as a tool when we are doing research on a lake that we're about to fish a tournament on.... Google maps now has "street view" from the water... you can go to Google maps, search a lake you're gonna fish, click on the layers at top right, choose "street view" and you'll see the blue line is in the water.. click anywhere on the blue line to look at that dock, that bank, that cove,etc.. They drove a camera boat around the whole lake... it's pretty awesome for research..
Enjoying fall break with my mini me lol…
Baits used MR6 crank bait and a Zoom speed worm 6 to 8 ft of water with one second pauses on retrieving.
Alright I had a better outing last weekend. I tied on small jigs with small trailers and it worked textbook. Found them where I expected them (with FFS) put it on them, took my time, and hooked a nice small mouth.
Unfortunately, my leader knot came loose before I could get him in the boat.
So I have to look up the knot videos, especially tying line to line. But that leads to my question, how often should I be retying my leader line?
