I know it’s been a minute since I posted, but here’s a handful of bass from the past few weeks. 🎣

I’ve been putting time in learning new techniques—finally committing to throwing a squarebill, crankbait, and even a frog. I’ll be honest, it’s tough to put the wacky rig and drop shot down, but the crank and frog bites have been 🔥 lately.

Next up on the list: mastering the jerkbait. Can’t wait to see where it takes me.

The unequivocally most misunderstood tool in bass fishing is reel drag. People really just don’t get it. DONT BE THOSE PEOPLE! Your drag is line tension management system and a hook pressure management tool. The sound of drag shouldn’t scare you. The sound of reel drag shouldn’t be avoided. It doesn’t mean reach and tighten it up so you don’t hear it! It’s there to MANAGE THE TENSION OF YOUR LINE AND HOOK PRESSURE.

I’m just going to say it.. If you need in my honest opinion one of the best spinning rods I have ever used contact Brian Barde and just ask for the Toon’s slick stick custom!! This rod literally is a do all rod Texas rig drop shot to shakey head even to Ned rigs it is just the right action for a do it all spinning rod.. I can honestly say I’ve never been so impressed by build quality, action, as I have been with this rod… you all are missing out..
