On Sunday fished our club tournment at Green Lake in Wisconsin, 7,500 acre lake. With life going on didn’t have much time to prep or breakdown the lake. But I did fish it once before in 2024. So I just fished the way I like to fish and my goal was to beat my weight in 2024 of 9.74lbs. Ended up in 5th w/ 10.99lbs. All the weights were pretty tight. Winning bag was 16lbs, but he had a 6.5lb kicker. 2nd place was 12.5lb bag. Glad I got to spend a beautiful day on the water. Enjoyed every minute of it.

After you spend some time using it let me know how well it holds the FG knot and if you have to re-tie it more often or not.

Honestly I’ve started to get away from the plans. Started making moves by what I’m learning when I get to a spot. I’ll do the breakdown and pick out areas I think will be good. Then when I get to those areas I pivot my plan for the day based on what I see even if I catch a fish or not. For example, if I get to an area that looked good on a map but when I get there I can see these aren’t the right weeds I’m looking for. Then my plan pivots to find the right contours that match the weeds I want to see. Hopefully that makes sense.
