Oh boy, crank baits, you got now...! Some of these baits ive seen pictures of you cranking out are pretty awesome dude. What depth are those rated to run? Are they DT series (ish) or what would the body mold be from?

To your question, ive never had a split ring issue. With the wood crankbaits that Ive used the thing that happens to me the most is the lip/tounge breaks off. That would be my main issue, alot of the time this happens I'm clearing weeds off when that occurs. I'm pretty hard on them. Could be a me issue.

1.5 oz is what I got away with that day.  That was just enough to break through the tops of those clumps and get down about 10ft to the bottom.

You know John, its really neat to see your journey you share on here and what you have and continue to surround yourself in when it comes to the kayak fishing world.
