I honestly never viewed my mapping in my mind like this, I really like these examples you showed.  This really helped me, thanks.

Honestly its really going to be what works for you.  I had to fiddle around and try numerous things to see what I like and get rid of the things that really didn't work for me.  What I got now, works for me.  The absolute best thing that was the game changer in my situation... my Motorguide Xi3 w/GPS built for the kayaks.  I can't say it enough of what a great product that is!  I want to say I agree with Mack also.  Yak Attack products are the way to go.  They have a rod holder and a paddle holder called the doubleheader that are well worth the money.  Brian had mentioned Gene Jensen, he is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the kayak side of things.  He's got a handful of good kayak setup videos that I have taken some good pointers from when I set up my rig.  Especially when you start putting electronic stuff on the platform.  YouTube will be a great tool for you!

Going with the Hidden Valley! I'd do a good blue cheese as a sub if needed.

Thanks for the advice, I didn't know that. I will remember that for next time :) I went ahead acouple of days ago and did that kydex gaurd/patch repair method. I like the DIY type stuff and went that route.... it looks good for what it is. I am happy with it. Need to get it in the water and put some miles on it to see how it holds up!
