You had a lot of first experiences!  That's cool you got to meet MDJ, been watching a lot of his stuff in my learning journey.  Pretty cool dude he seems to be!  The bass on the fly rod must have been awesome, must of felt like a shark on a set up like that.

I'd say with the deer, one could follow our 3 step process for breaking down lakes and make some parallels with the ideas for hunting deer, but with my experience with them gobblers... ain't going to happen! Love the question!! I'd say this about them turkeys, and I take my bird hunting pretty seriously, they are a super dumb bird but they are very keen! They switch things up and they don't follow or make patterns, in my opinion. One might think so but, if you spend time hunting them they can be frustrating!!
