Part 2 of putting what I've learned here about lipless crankbaits to work. Lipless + weedline along a windblown point has been the recipe for success. This one weighed in just shy of 6lbs.

Woohoo I'm on it. Might be a little tough doing it from the bank though.

Here's a pic of a lil guy I got off a bed Saturday. Yep he's got red eyes. Water temp was 60°

Been putting what I've learned here about lipless crankbaits to practice lately and God blessed me with a good one yesterday. Muddy water, red/firecraw hammer trap, and working a weedline brought this 5lber out of hiding.

Glad I'm not the only one who catches trans-bass during tournaments! Had some channel cats (identifying as bass) wreck havoc in the Mid Spring & Summer Classics. Most memorable was a 4lb channel smoked a 10" worm I was flipping into some weeds. I seriously thought about logging it onto the board for grins (not sure if BLat would have found it funny).

Who else had their water temps jump this weekend? My local puddle's water temp went from 45° Tuesday morning to 54° this morning. Also the bite turned on and the bass moved up super shallow. Burning a lip less in 2ft of water parallel with the remaining weedlines was getting smoked.
