Fall fishing has come to Texas and everything is keyed in on shad. One minute I'm snatching smallies off the boat ramp rip rap with crankbaits and the next I'm cutting anchor and taken for about a 15-20 minute ride in my kayak. Poor crankbait took a beating with the split rings stretched out. (2nd image shows the crankbait)

Jigs from a kayak! OMG it's making me nuts. A boat or bank fishing I wouldn't be losing these fish due to leverage or detecting the bite!

Changing direction during the fight - guilty of that from the bank when they head for cover, bridges, etc..

Today marks 3 years to the day I caught my PB (9lbs 2oz). My casual approach toward bass fishing went away in the blink of an eye. I've been on a pursuit for a double digit bass since. It's been pretty much an obsession since. Fishing nearly 365 except storms with lightning.

Who else can remember their pb like it was yesterday?
