A little practice for the SUF tournament right before I left for Colorado. Hope I find some measurable fish while in Denver. If not, I'm going to have to play catch up when I get back to my Texas puddle.

Will do. However the only big lake I'll be fishing will be Turquoise Lake, which from what I've read isn't very promising for bass. Maybe I'll luck out and find some smallies πŸ™

Byron Johnson that crankbait bite is addicting when they hit it like a freight train.

I know those losing days all too well! Especially when throwing crankbaits!

Anyone on SUF from Colorado or recently fished there? I'll be in the Denver area end of next week and then up to Turquoise Lake. Trying to figure out what baits to take as well as what season the bass are in.

I had to go look up this "Baby Jack". So it's slightly larger than a Minimax?

Well said! I fished the Mid Spring and Summer Classics last year entirely from the bank.

There was a number of things. Not having heavy enough weight to stay put in 30-40 ft of water and wind was extremely frustrating.

Judging distance to the structure on the graphs in relation to my cast. I way over shot the target usually. My inability to judge distance became apparent on live scope.

Thank you BLat!

I never thought I'd need the videos about boat electronics being a predominantly bank angler, however I watched some of them anyways. Glad I did! I've recently been invited to be a co-angler/teammate for next year's tourneys. Went on the boat yesterday evening and thought I was going to be intimidated by the electronics. Wasn't the case at all (except the live scope). Being on the back, I watched down and side scan for structure and was thankful I knew for the most part what I was looking at and for. While he scanned for fish, I was casting to structure, etc.

Going to be a heck of a transition for me fishing deeper water (going to be buying a lot of heavier terminal tackle lol). If I ever thought having a boat with electronics/live scope would make it easier, that notion is gone!
