Hey Brian, my local lake is a west coast lake in Southern California called Diamond Valley Lake and its a fairly new reservoir. Very deep, clear water. Im just struggling catching them. I went out today and the conditions seemed really good. Some wind, clouds, and stained water and I still couldn’t get them. I need help hahah

Running the trolling motor is the hardest thing for me right now for sure. I need all the tips I can get and know I would benefit greatly from an on-the-water trolling motor class

Hey Brian, thanks for taking the time to answer that! And you said my last name better than most haha its like: Tree-Oh-Low or Trio-lo

I just want to also say how much I have been enjoying your app and being part of the community that you are quickly growing.

Ive also learned how much I don’t know how to fish haha Ive bank fished for a few years while I was in the Army out in Texas and NC. I moved back to Southern California and live 20 minutes from a small but deep reservoir.

A couple months ago I bought a great used bass boat. Its a basic setup on a bass tracker pro 175. My first upgrade I think will be a new fish finder. Ive been looking at the Gramin echomap uhd2 9sv. In the meantime im learning how to use my 2d and down imaging on an 4” hummingbird.

Im also getting a lot of practice in on boat placement (but if you have an in-depth boat placement video on all different structures that would be really beneficial for a novice like me).

I love the angler development program and tournament support. I wanted to put my name in the drawing but I dont feel confident in my fishing skills at all. Despite my lack of confidence, I am highly motivated to get into tournament fishing. 5 year goal is to win a tournament on Lake Havasu. I love this sport and want to spend all my waking hours getting faster and better at lake breakdowns, finding the fish, and catching them. Anyway, thanks again for all that you do, for real. Its impactful

Thanks Kevin! I figured that’s how I am going to continue to learn it but also Ive seen Blat get so passionate when he mentions footwork so I just thought I would try and see if he has any other talking points on the subject haha 🤷🏻‍♂️ until then I will continue to keep learning in the “deep water”

Are there any in depth videos out there yet about the foot work part of fishing? Like using the trolling motor to get you right where you want to be and/or any other helpful tips on how to best use the trolling motor, your body position on the deck, and just good footwork fundamentals. I know Blat has talked about how important it is in a handful of videos but I wasn’t sure if there are any dedicated videos or workshops on just the footwork part of fishing.
