It is..! I catch a lot of smaller bass in the current like this, and the bigger bass are usually under submerged logs, in the more calmer stretches of the river.. altho I have caught some big ones out in the current too..

That'll be a good workshop... I ALWAYS have a Texas rig tied on.. ready for either a worm, speed craw, speed worm, etc... and a spinnerbait, chatterbait, crankbait... all year long.. I carry 8 rods with me.. 3 for topwater that ill switch over to something else during the winter, 2 glidebait rods, a spinning rod for my wacky, and 2 for whatever...

I'll have to start doing that.. I always tag "Straight Up Fishing" in my tictoc, Instagram and fb posts...

Definitely close the mouth.. Im a tournament director for GeorgiaYAK (in Ga) and we deduct ½" for open mouth.. In the past, ive had several deductions myself.. one cost 1st place.... I didn't even turn on the radio on the way home that day...🤣

Hmmm.... Ive never even fished a tube, might have to add that to my arsenal..! I did catch a 19.75" off the edge of the mudline with a buzzbait.. Thanks Kevin.

22 inches... slammed my buzzbait in 2 foot of water, clear water, 5' from the kayak.. I was a fun catch for sure.!! Thanks B.!

Its a cool incentive.! The hat and t-shirt will become a memory in my closet, bt my name on the website/database will remain forever... which is pretty cool. Keep after them, maybe theyll give in..lol
