I've made it to the big time...

Nathan Skinner of Festive Water Paddlesports in Atlanta, Ga reached out to me and officially inviting me to join their Fishing team.. I couldn't be more proud. Just 3 years ago, my life was going nowhere, was addicted to drugs since 12 years old..(63 now), nothing excited me and I was miserable.. People avoided me, friends only wanted something from me..only to stab me in the back.. Every morning when I woke up, I was just mad at the world ... rehab didn't work, jail didn't work, nothing .. I discovered kayak bass fishing and my whole life turned around. I'm on my 3rd kayak now and am saving up for a nicer, newer one more suited for me.. Now, I've been clean 3 years.. and will never, EVER go back to being that person.. I've got too much to lose.. Sounds cheesy, but it's true.. Now, I have the best of friends, all of which are religious which is awesome for me.. I get excited and love waking up everyday.. Turns out I'm pretty good at Kayak bass angling.. my whole family is proud of me.(I've got 6 brothers & sisters plus I can't even count how many offspring of theirs..plus my 2 children and 4 grandchildren).. And just the fact that a huge name in kayak bass fishing like Nathan Skinner has noticed me and actually wants me on board with Festive Water Paddlesports makes me so proud and happy I tear up just telling someone about it.. it's my therapy, my rehab, my piece of mind, my joy, my retreat.. my PASSION...my everything.. Check out the baits I found in 2 trees today at a public pond I fish at sometimes.. a 6th sense swimbait worth $40, a chatterbait, and 2 frogs.. and all were brand new, not a bit of rust on them... you know somebody had a bad day..

Saw a rare sight 2 weeks ago..... I was on the Oconee river in Milledgeville, Georgia and saw a 6' long, atleast a 100lb sturgeon... they swim all the way up from the ocean to spawn.. it got about as far as it could go cause lake Sinclair dam is right above where I saw it.. 3' deep in super clear water. I couldn't believe my eyes, didn't know they were even in the Oconee.. googled it and yep.. super rare to even see one. I couldn't get it on video cause of the glare, plus it was only within sight for ½ a min.. thought that was a really cool experience tho. Mother nature rocks.!!

Been struggling, hard to find the big ones the past couple of months.. but I did find me a 19" at lake Julliette, Julliette, Ga yesterday... blew up on a choppo... wish I had it on camera, it was epic...

Found some good bream beds on the Oconee river yesterday...and about 20 bass... 17.50 was my biggest... just can't seem to find anything bigger lately..

I was wondering why this beaver was letting me slip up so close behind him, and beside him... then I realized he only had one eye and I was on his blind side.. When he saw me, he slapped that tail, soaked me and was gone...

Did a float down the Flint river today with Georgia Bassmaster...aka Marshall Cody Stamps, Jason Starley, Marshall's Dad, and a friend of theirs.. We had a great time .. and we are planning more trips already..
