In my earlier post, I mentioned how much I love my Oconee river in Milledgeville Georgia.. I was able to get back on it today and it definitely did NOT disappoint.. A monster 22.50", 6.04lb largemouth.. I thought I had a catfish, maybe a striper, even thought my chatterbait was hung up for a second... till this bass jumped and I bout messed myself..! Im in 6 online tournaments right now, and this one really helped me out a lot..

I must be off my game... Ive only caught 263 bass so far this year...🤣.. (in the image, that's 10th out of 207.. but it's not a competition against each other, it's against ourselves..trying to catch 2,026 bass before the year is over.. #kayakjack / Marty Hughes Yearlong tournament)

I love fishing the Oconee river, Central State boatramp.. but it's been closed since Christmas cause they but in a new ramp and parking lot. We'll, it just opened back up today.. I catch 20 to 25 bass a day out there, and even some monsters... I have a feeling my numbers are about to quickly go ⬆️‼️‼️

When I have 30 days ti find them, I do better than the 1 day, live ones..ha ha. Another reason the lake breakdown topic is gonna help me during the retreat.!

Went to a new lake yesterday, and it didn't disappoint.. other than being broke off by what mightve been my new PB, and losing a spinnerbait I had fun.. not many as far as numbers go, but size matters (🤔🤔🤣)...

Not many places to punch around here, and I haven't gained enough confidence in pitching & flipping .. If there's grass or pads, I usually run a buzzbait (spring & summerl) or chatterbait/spinnerbait down the edge of the grass.. sometimes I'll even slide a fluke across the top of the grass if it's the right kind.. if there's grass 5" ti a foot below the surface I'll burn a chatterbait over the top of it.. I caught a 4lber last week doing that..
