Hey buddy.. stand your net up at the head of the bass/board.. I can't count how many have been saved by this trick.. for some reason, when they flip, they almost always leave the kayak on the left side..

it's an awesome experience, win or "not win"... and you're nervous cause it matters to you.. it'll get better, I promise.. last year I didn't even get a limit mist of the tournaments, lucked up and got 4th, then 3rd... then this year, at our 1st tournament, I got 1st.. Hang in there, it gets better... and, download the "iboating" app.. I heard about it thru Matthew Dennis... You can hit layers, and enable depth shading.. also, it has Ai assisted good fishing spots..(the dots in the pict). hope this helps..

I had a fish disqualified cause my pinky tip had gotten under the edge of the gill plate also.. it was a 17" bass.. but I still won the tournament.. turned out I didn't even need that fish...I've been fishing tournaments almost 3 years, mistakes do happen..
