Well.... I held on to 1st place in the biggest spotted bass category for 3 weeks, then a friend of mine knocked me into 2nd place the day before the Younder Classic ended.. I fished hard trying to win my spot back but just couldn't do it.. Guess it just wasn't my time.. so ended up in 2nd place, and 17th in the 5 biggest category. .. looks like I'll definitely be going to the championship next year..!! The last one, was the best weekend I've had in decades..!

On a happier note, I ran into another SUF student on the water yesterday...our friend Matthew Dennis..!!

Brian.... Thanks for giving me some confidence to try throwing a jig again.. Before today, I've only caught 1 bass on a jig... I watched your video on jigs, put it into play on the Ocmulgee river today and slayed a few Shoal bass, and spotted bass...... !!

Caught 24 bass and played with a gator on the Oconee river, Milledgeville, Ga. yesterday... Caught 3 on a popping frog I found hanging in a tree 2 weeks ago, 5 or 6 on a 6th sense big swimbait I also found in the same tree...lol, and the rest on a green pumpkin w/gold flakes senko wacky rigged.. all were good size too...

Also, looks like I'm still in 1st place in the spotted bass category in our Younder Classic, with only a day left in the tournament....!!

That's a good spot to point out... I catch a lot of spots and largemouth on those sand drops on the oconee river and ocmulgee rivers in Milledgeville, ga.. The shoal bass on the Flint and ocmulgee rivers, I catch mainly in the shoals/rapids... but if I want a big old largemouth, I'll just throw to laydowns on the bank in the lazier areas of the rivers .... especially after a good few days of rain, after the river calms back down from being blown out, those sand drops are fire...

Ha ha... I've slipped back into 12th place.... I haven't been able to even fish for the last 7 days, I have a bad stomach infection.... I'm praying it clears up soon..!! Congratulations on some nice bass!!
