Brother in law asked me how I use a 9 foot diving Jerkbait in 6 foot of water. I threw this up on YouTube. Most important part is that rather than twitching the rod downward as traditional mechanic, I’ll use an almost horizontal and an occasional uptick of the tip. Other points are that I typically throw to an angle from the canal bank to maximize coverage and I purposely don’t lock the rod to my forearm so my wrist can aid in the shock absorption. https://youtu.be/i9yaigJ76T0

Doc Trez and I used the new messaging ability on the app. It honestly worked really well! One note though, it would be great if we could send images through the chat.

When Blat makes these videos and he pulls a random name out the hat that cracks me up.

”Someone’s gonna ask well  exactly  how much did you cut off, I don’t know Gerald about that much .” Lol 😂 ( from the Top 3 baits for sight fishing YT short )

Bass do not read the books on fishing. Our weather has been rainy all week and a twenty degree drop in air temperatures. Today, I saw Barde post catching bass so that encouraged me to brave the 20mph winds. The local reservoir was muddy and choppy. My expectations were low.

Boy was I wrong. I caught fish on all my presentations. Spinnerbait, crankbait, Texas rigged craw, swim bait, fluke and I even got my first fish on a hollow belly frog. (Bobby inspired). Now I would not have won a tournament but I sure had a lot of fun getting bites. 😀

Thank you BLat!

I never thought I'd need the videos about boat electronics being a predominantly bank angler, however I watched some of them anyways. Glad I did! I've recently been invited to be a co-angler/teammate for next year's tourneys. Went on the boat yesterday evening and thought I was going to be intimidated by the electronics. Wasn't the case at all (except the live scope). Being on the back, I watched down and side scan for structure and was thankful I knew for the most part what I was looking at and for. While he scanned for fish, I was casting to structure, etc.

Going to be a heck of a transition for me fishing deeper water (going to be buying a lot of heavier terminal tackle lol). If I ever thought having a boat with electronics/live scope would make it easier, that notion is gone!

Just created an account on this site and want to introduce myself. I mark. I live on the banks of the Tennessee River here in Florence Alabama. If you don't find me on the river then you'll find me fly fishing for Smallmouth in the creeks. I love Auburn, fishing, hunting, Arrowhead hunting and riding horses. WAR DAM EAGLE!

Hello everyone!!!

Hope everyone is enjoying your day / weekend holiday and catching em.

I have a question-What do those who fish out their kayak do to secure your boat from being stolen?

Unfortunately today some greedy people stole my NK300 motor, NRS Vest and Ketch board out the back of my truck in less than 30 mins while I stepped inside a local business. The items were in a big Plano storage case.

Tough lesson learned today but just looking for suggestions on securing all kayak items in the back of the truck.

Huge thank you to everyone that made the roundtable last night. I certainly learned so much about apps and tools people use to prepare for their day. I'm sure others did too!

Next week Thursday we're going to be talking about building a following for social media and making content.

We hope to see you there!!

My most recent fun fishing memory was Santee Cooper we maybe moved 100 feet from 10:30 to 2:30 and caught bass on the shakey head one after the other! On a 4 ft flat that was big as a football field. It was actually the fist time I’ve ever felt confident that I figured them out and it felt Awesome! The best times I’ve had fishing has always been Greys lake outside Ferendale Ar. Catching big shell crackers and bluegills with my Grandpa and running trot lines at night only Catching mud cat or yellow cat whatever you want to call them and watching my old man come up and shake his head while my grandma was cook them old mud cat up on the at camp lol those where some of my best fishing memories for sure!
