Went out after work with the wife and dog. Crushing the pre-spawn bass on Topwater. We were getting around 15 bass per hour. They were deep in coves and pockets, 3ft or less water, swimming around the big holes in the weeds. Bluegill and Crappie were everywhere too. Wife showed me up with a 20”. Fun night!

Dumb question I am new to the measurement method of submitting fish is it okay to enter a fish in more than one tournament or do you have to pick one ?

This is the man who introduced me to Bass Fishing, Coach Joseph was my middle school PE teacher and invited me to go with him and my addiction was born. I fished with him on the boat in the picture, and I can say with 100% certainty that he caught all of those on a black 3/4 oz Johnson Spoon with a Yellow skirt, On Big Grassy in Lake Toho. Back when Toho was really good. When I say Toho is nothing like it was back when they did a low pool draw down every 4 years to control vegetation I mean it, The draw downs were so much better for the lake than all the spraying they are doing.

Kayak Adventure Series day 1 of practice on gatewood Park had been solid. Won't be fishing out here until Friday afternoon when tourny starts.

Lake is down 10+ feet but bait and bass are still dirty shallow we are getting a good rainfall so hopefully this enhances what I found and more bass pull up. Tomorrow we try a spot with smallmouth

Picked up a couple of these about a year ago and stuck them in the back of the tackle mound not knowing what to do with them. They have become kind of a big deal these days, question is when is a good time to put down confidence baits and pick up something new to try?

Question about the new “pro anglers in local tournaments” video.

Noticed and could hear that Brian was disengaging and re-engaging his spool release button instead of relying on the drag. Is there any particular reason for this?
