This might sound odd to some but something to think about. We are all learning daily about fishing. During a recent conversation with a friend the subject of “Paying it forward” came up. After the movie came out around year 2000 there was a movement. Who else remembers it and tries to practice it when the opportunity arises? It sure makes me feel good when I get the chance.

Pay it forward is an expression for describing the beneficiary of a good deed repaying the kindness to others rather than paying it back to the original benefactor. It is also called serial reciprocity.

Good afternoon everyone , I have been mia for a minute. I have taken the plunge to go full time on YouTube. Getting things lined up to start pushing out content every week and doing more podcasting as well.

Hope this goes well for me lol. I have a lot of resources down here in southeast Georgia so I will be bringing my viewers the opportunities Georgia has to offer angler. Ya’ll stay safe on the water !

Unfortunately Army Core of Engineers (COE), has started to close down boat ramps and parks around local lakes such as Lanier. Lack of resources and cut backs starting to make impacts. Ramps open are managed by local counties. Anyone else seeing this across their lakes for COE managed?

Gonna share a new experience for me from this last tournament. I caught an early limit and it gave no signs of upgrades so I wanted to challenge myself with fishing current. I faught the boat traffic and the current itself for a few hours. I bumped a ned rig around and hammered some drum, but the few times I hooked a bass, they just came loose at the kayak. Does anyone know why the bass didn’t stay pinned as well in the current but the drum did?

Had a great time at our big bass bash on Sunday! Caught a bunch of bass but none of our bass won any of the 8 hour segments. Still didn’t walk away empty handed. Found some great early growth pre spawn weeds and rock piles I didn’t know of before. Also have a better understanding of which areas of the lake/docks are better for Pre-Spawn and holds the early spawners. While slowly going through a 2ft deep weed flat I saw what I though was a telephone pole laying in the water…nope it was a giant Musky. Probably 60+ inches long and had the girth of a telephone pole.

Have to congratulate my great friend Dr. Tony Dugas who got to join me in this tournament. Just finished getting his PHD after 4 years and he celebrated by going fishing. Also have to thank Brian Barde for the custom Workhorse Rod!!

Sinclair turned out well. They dropped the water 18” and all my spots were dry, seawalls, so I had to go to work. Was still able to feed em a buzzbait but couldn’t find all my fish. All in all I learned, had fun, got poured on, and had a stellar finish among 34 southeast hammers, fourth place. Today I’m headed northeast hoping to catch a wave or three over the week, OBX OR BUST.

I live in NC and i am fairly new to bass fishing. About 4yrs in at this point. I truly appreciate all you have done to show techniques and to share all you have learned with us. I would LOVE to go fishing with you one day and pick your brain and truly learn the sport. Also it's great to see another man of color as passionate about bass fishing as I am. You are opening doors! Thank you!!
