SUF and Barde are bad influences on me. I had to go upgrade my John boat for a Tracker Pro Team 195tx so I could enter more tournaments. 😀

Tournament season started this past weekend after a couple of events had to be moved. This is my third season kayak fishing in this club and I finally pulled out a win. A pack of Senkos is all I needed. An extreme cold front moved in the night before and most of the fish I saw wanted to spawn. I noticed they were in the same coves that they would spawn in, but they were in 4-6 feet of water waiting. I was able to fish slow and catch decent numbers, but only two of good size. 20 minutes before lines in I decided to fish near the ramp. I culled my small fish and gained roughly an inch. This lake normally take 60”s on your best 3 to be in the top 5. I was able to win this by half an inch with 57.50”s!

Fishing docks! Me and Destiny Siguenza have been trying to fish as many new lakes as possible down here. Highrock lake in NC was on the menu today. It paid off. Caught some good ones today. All on the main lake. That’s the areas that really seemed to pay off today. Don’t get to do this much at all back in Ohio. It was nice to apply some knowledge learned here in the app and apply it abroad. Such a great weekend.
