Next week I’m taking a couple days off to hit some spawning lakes. Then Lake Michigan for the Coho Salmon run.

Brian Latimer they are still pre spawn. Where we caught fish quick was in a small stained water pocket like the picture attached. The other two similar pockets were gin clear and didn’t hold fish. We tried to fish more in the stained pocket but faster boats beat us there. We tried to find more protected pockets in bays to find fish. Only saw fish in one gin clear pocket. 2-3lbers and 1 small guy just roaming by docks. Couldn’t get them to bite and threw the kitchen sink at them. Had the sonor off and minimal use of the trolling motor to try and deminish our presence. We covered a ton of water and couldn’t find anymore fish. Then started dragging a Carolina rig around on flat points 5-10ft of water but no luck.
