Here is something I got a few years back that still applies.Â
General things to avoid:
Do not leave trash in the boat.
Do not leave part of your lunch in the carpet.
Do not burn holes in the carpet from cigarette ashes.
Clean up any spillage of liquids from carpet immediately.
Clean up any blood (fish or angler) immediately.
Do not break or cause any equipment to go overboard.
Always latch compartment lids. Leaving them unlatched promotes breakage.
Seat backs are called that for a reason. You rest your Back on them, not your Backside.
Upholstery is not put there to step on. This assures ripping and tearing of the fabric.
Do not spill dye, coffee or scent on carpeting, unless you are prepared to replace it.
Do not bounce lures off the outboard or gel coat as this can cause cracks or chips.
Grass fouled on lures, goes back in the water, not on the deck.
Watch your back cast. Lures that hit upholstery leave holes in the fabric.
Don’t step on fiberglass as you could have rocks in your shoes.Â
