Currently.. St. Croix MOJO Bass 6'4" heavy fast, power pro 50lb or 65lb specta braid in green color. I have two reels, Lews tournament pro and the Lews Pro SP. Both are fantastic in my opinion... and my favorate bait would be a Texas rigged Berkley pit boss or their structure bug. This is darn near the rod and real set up I use for my frogs and certain flippin jigs. I do have the MDJ signature series hex rod that is a great rod as well that I also use.
For this new season, I have 2 new rods I'm gonna try out. I've got rigged up the newer St. CROIX MOJO bass 7'6" heavy, mod fast, and for the really heavy stuff... I did buy, "The GOAT" flipping stick to try out this year. That is Andy Morgan's rod he had done with Favorate. ( MDJ recommended this rod for real heavy cover in a past video on the tube, so... ima going with it cause I just love this technique and use it often! )
Up this way fippin cover is one of my favorite ways to fish in the stuff we have... come around end of May till late in the fall! It's so fun!! I did start late last year experimenting a bit with flippin a Texas rigged 5" or 6" stick bait like a general or some type of straight worm.
