Thank you for your service.  Two of my daughters are in the path of this next hurricane and we are quite anxious.

I'm not sure I answered this question any better, but I need to take some time and determine how best to verbalize what's bouncing around in my head.

Goodness, this probably doesn't apply to everyone here but for me I'm trying to understand not only the fishing but the business of being a tournament angler.  At my age is my dream really a "pipe dream".

Lake Lanier put the skunk on me. We are on the road to the next leg of our trip. I’m hoping to do some fishing next weekend with my dad in Tallahassee, Florida. He has some speck (crappie) on lockdown.

Update, we ended up going to an urgent care to have the hook removed. My wife couldn’t use the removal technique to get it out and I couldn’t consume enough Irish whiskey to push it through. The P.A. had a heck of time getting it out. If you want a chuckle my wife posted an attempt at pushing it through on instagram. @dodsquadadventures. Apologies for the plug BLat.

Agreed, my bride really enjoys it.

We are camping at lake Lanier. I have been fishing from the bank for large mouth bass. This seems to be a very deep lake based on chart data, but it is very clear. I have seen a few bass near the bank but it appears most of the boats are in deeper water. I have been using primarily white and silver or Chartreuse baits trying to keep them off the bottom without speed cranking them. I have thrown some top water poppers and walkers based on a conversation with a local bait shop guy. It just occurred to me that I haven’t seen many bait fish schooling. This definitely seems like a challenging body of water to fish from the bank.
