I fought that sucker for over an hour, couldn't net him, couldn't get him in the kayak so I had to drag him back to the ramp ...it was after dark when I finally was able to get my chatterbait back... so, about a 2 hr deal... smh.

Brian Latimer ok, cool.. I'll have to schedule a coaching call cause I have a championship coming up on November he 8th at lake Oconee.. it's right above lake Sinclair... actually there's a dam between the 2 lakes.. they are "sister" lakes..

Exactly what I was thinking.. but I think I'm gonna launch from another ramp... I can't figure out which ramp I want to launch from, I've only been able to afford to try 2 so far, and I caught 2 at each ramp.. I need 5 big ones.. it's been really windy both trips, maybe the fishing will be better when it's not so windy.. being that windy, it's really hard to fish docks out of a kayak.. and from all the research I've done, this is a dock fishing lake... championship is Nov 1st, so I have a little time left to try another ramp or 2..

Brian... that short you made about cpinnerbait being better than a chatterbait... That's my friend Marshall Stamps (Georgia Bassmaster), on the FNGO (Fish North Georgia) podcast.. We fish the Flint and Ocmulgee rivers together sometimes.. Super nice guy, awesome river angler, on a great podcast..!

I was out there fishing with my buddy Corey when this happened... I felt so bad for him.. Corey, remember when that 23" bass flipped off my board when we were at the pond that day? And I was in an online tournament too that day...it was heart breaking..

Hey Kevin... what's it like, is it a zoom call/video chat? Where you're on camera, like a zoom classroom?

I thought it was pretty cool myself... might help some of us..!

I discovered something we all can use as a tool when we are doing research on a lake that we're about to fish a tournament on.... Google maps now has "street view" from the water... you can go to Google maps, search a lake you're gonna fish, click on the layers at top right, choose "street view" and you'll see the blue line is in the water.. click anywhere on the blue line to look at that dock, that bank, that cove,etc.. They drove a camera boat around the whole lake... it's pretty awesome for research..
