Last night’s class was FIRE (my 12 yr old is teaching me new lingo)! If you missed it… ouch.
After listening to Mack talk about getting back to your roots, I decided to turn off the graph and start hammering docks and shoreline like it was 110 degrees outside. It finally paid off with a solid bite on a Minimax ChatterBait paired with a Z-Man Goat trailer.
I’ve officially caught my winter bass, and not by staring out of a shanty window on a frozen lake!
4th of the day from Sunday in central FL. One short of a limit and all were about the same size. However it was good to catch again. Now back to cold NY.
Here are some things you thought you never needed but will soon realize you can't live without...
The Kayak Cart from Vevor. They have dodfer options for different needs but I have the one pictured.
The Rod Mule... This is a freaking life saver! Up to 10 rods in one trip. Don't mind if I do, and I did!
Did a little bottom dragging this morning. Gotta say I’m well pleased with the result!
Down in St. Vincent this week catching some exotics. Stay tuned for more!
I’m finally catching a few fish! It usually takes a day or 2 to start zoning in on the productive areas.
Part 2 of putting what I've learned here about lipless crankbaits to work. Lipless + weedline along a windblown point has been the recipe for success. This one weighed in just shy of 6lbs.
