It’s freaking hot on the Butler Chain in Orlando. Was able to draw some out from under the docks first thing this morning as I threw SMH as a tester to feel the bottom contour and whammo. Not a huge catch but nothing wrong with a 2.5lb. Dammit, I can’t get the Purple Rain earworm out of my head all Summer!

I got to go fishing with this guy today.
It was a lot of fun and I got to learn how to fish a drop shot.

I dontknow about yall, but THIS is how I like to start off a monthling Brian Latimer tournament...!

Kinda been chilling for a bit, said enough of that this weekend, got out for about 4 hours yesterday after a good storm pushed through on a newer lake I found out about. Did one of those weigh my best 5 deals... did alright and had some fun with the drop shot!! Hot snakes SMH worm, that was the ticket!

A good summer bass this weekend with Destiny Siguenza with temps on my units showing 86-90 between the Lowrance and Garmin just know it was HOT. Skipping some floating docks in 28-30ft of water was the ticket. They were also on the ladder looking things. Lots of shade. The old Neko rig did the job yesterday.
One other cool thing yesterday was watching them have big bait balls corralled into a pocket and watching them bust up the schools with FFS. There were schools of shad absolutely everywhere in this particular pocket. I did catch one throwing into the chaos too. Did anyone else bear the the heat this weekend and get out?

So what's the weirdest thing y'all have brought up with or instead of a fish? Caught this a couple weeks ago, this was my first bladed jig fish. And my fist Hybrid Hunter crank bait on a bladed jig. Not gonna lie I'm still salty I wasn't able to get it measured before it flipped out the kayak!
Saw a rare sight 2 weeks ago..... I was on the Oconee river in Milledgeville, Georgia and saw a 6' long, atleast a 100lb sturgeon... they swim all the way up from the ocean to spawn.. it got about as far as it could go cause lake Sinclair dam is right above where I saw it.. 3' deep in super clear water. I couldn't believe my eyes, didn't know they were even in the Oconee.. googled it and yep.. super rare to even see one. I couldn't get it on video cause of the glare, plus it was only within sight for ½ a min.. thought that was a really cool experience tho. Mother nature rocks.!!

Managed a little fishing therapy today, caught this little guy and a couple trash fish.

Fished my 3rd MLF-BLF tournament at Lake Champlain. I got a limit of bass ( 3 fish for co- angler. I had 8lbs 2oz before the dead fish penalty and finished with 7lbs 14oz. I am now 27th overall in the standings.
Very unique waterway in which you can catch a largemouth and a smallmouth bass in the same area.
Barde has been teaching me well with the jig. He helped me with the colors and trailer selection. My first two keeper fish came of the jig. Good times!
